You read the title of this post right. Back in the 80's, where I was partially raised by cartoons on a weekly basis by the likes of Transformers and G.I. Joe, another Hasbro line kept my interests in between the smashing and exploding of franchise toys. That was My Little Pony. It was cute and fun and gave me a breather between the more "boy" oriented toons of the day. Forward to present day and the 4th generation of ponies are once again catching my interests.

What makes this series more appealing than you would first think is that this one is much more character focused than previous generations. The main cast consists of six ponies and their little sidekick, Spike, the baby dragon. Each one has their personality quirks which makes them much more fun to watch than a sea of generic, multicolored animals running around.

I could go on but I'm going to let this guy do the rest of the talking for me. He's CR!, one of the producers for thatguywiththeglasses.com. If you are at all interested in learning more about this show, give his video below a try. You might be surprised at how much fun you'll have. Enjoy!
